All of us who are refiners, bear scars. They are scars that tell stories of a dropped mold, a misplaced stir rod or a hand too close to the fire. As I pen this, I am looking at a scar on my right wrist; one that I incurred as I lifted a heavy Crucible out of the furnace, exposing my skin to it’s non-forgiving heat.
But that’s what it takes to be a refiner; to work with the defiant metal; to handle the Crucible; to make something good again. It takes sacrifice.
I am looking once again at my scar. But this time, I see it in light of my Savior Refiner, who bore scars, who willingly endured the Crucible so that I may me transformed into something new.
Welcome to the Crucible.
“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5
Peace,

Through my spiritual eyes, I see a powerful, wonderful work The Lord has – and is currently doing – in your life.
You’ve a story — a contemporary, personal story – to tell to the nations!
Scars are good!
Scars remind us of the work that’s been done in us by the Master Refiner!
I love your heart, brother!!!!
This was very nice!!!
