In the midwest, spring is a wonderful season. Birds sing, grass sprouts, flowers bud and nature confirms that it is still alive. (Side note: A mental picture of the movie ‘Bambi’ just popped into my noggin. Disney be hailed!).
What also springs to life is emotional and mental attitude. You feel better in the spring. You feel like you can take on the world. You feel like there is a newness that washes away the closed-ness of winter. It feels good.
The ability of God rehearses that newness. He makes all things new. Old hurts, he gives new purpose. Old resentments, he heals. The winter of your struggles, he weaves into a garment of covering.
“Spring has sprung” as they say and the renewing of his Spirit is alive and well.
“Behold, I am doing a new thing;
now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?” Is. 43:19

You are so right:] My daughter Tammy who was murdered when she was 19 would have been 42 today April 13. It is a Beautiful Day just like she was. I went to lunch with some dear friends and as a surprise I bought them all a desert.
