“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians 6:9
This past weekend, I spoke for the Senior Adult ministry conference from our District. They are called S.A.G.E.S. (Saints Alive, Growing, Ever Serving). The group numbering 170 are a mission-minded, Jesus loving group that lives out one message — God is good and He loves us through Jesus. They are in a season of life that allows them the time to pray for and care for the next generation.
We all transition through seasons of life. Sometimes, life can be warm and pleasing — like the summer we are experiencing now. Other times, life can seem cold and difficult — like the winter months that blanket our part of the globe.
Even our churches go through seasons. For us, we are in a season of both pastoral transition and culture building. We transitioning a new pastor in, and interim Pastor out, and a DCE to the seminary. Our ministries prepare and plan during the summer months for the upcoming fall and our leadership teams continue the work of moving our church forward in our mission by helping create a powerful kingdom mindset and culture of reaching people for Jesus.
Through all of it, we can restate over and over that God is good and He loves us through Jesus.
