Lounging at the river is always life-giving to me. The rhythmic thump of the small waves on the shore almost put me to sleep. I’m sure you can hear them through these words.
The river has ebb and flow, the recurrent or rhythmical pattern of coming and going or decline and regrowth. Ebb and flow is a thread in the fabric of our life. Everything has a season, a rhythm – pressure and release.
Think of your life. You don’t have to do mental gymnastics to think of when you’ve been extremely busy or rushed or stressed. Conversely, you can remember seasons when you’ve been relaxed or mused or at peace.
Ebb and Flow.
This week, plan for the ebb and flow – known and unknown. be ready to forge ahead into the busy, stressful work/life loads that bubble. Lean into the joyous, slow downtimes that descend. Learn to love and embrace the ebb and flow of your life.
Peace!
